GSYH
The mission of Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes is to give our state's most at-risk children the love, security, and structure every child needs to become a mature, successful adult. It is the real story of Georgia's abused, abandoned, and neglected children and how the sheriffs and many others have made their lives better. One of the problems with Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes is that they cannot financially satisfy every one of their children's needs. It costs tens of thousands of dollars to take care of one child. Our goal is to help GSYH financially, even if it's by a little.
ELMINATE PROJECT
With the Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year. The effects of the disease are excruciating -- tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. Every year our club will provide our members with a UNICEF box to raise money for the Eliminate Project. Collecting a set amount of money will earn you hours.
Children's Miracle
Network
Children's Miracle Network's donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible. Their mission is to increase funds and awareness for local children’s hospitals. The hospital we will be supporting is Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
